Therapeutic Sciences: Emerging Research in Medical Gasses and Regenerative Biology is an annual peer-reviewed scientific publication of the International Hyperbarics Association.
The International Hyperbarics Association (IHA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 2004 with the mission of educating the community of the benefits of hyperbaric therapy and to provide accessibility for those in need to improve health and wellness. As the hyperbaric industry has grown and evolved, the association has provided educational and training opportunities to clinical providers and business owners as well as advocacy and legislative lobbying for the continued access and use of hyperbaric therapy for both on-label and off-label use of the hyperbaric therapy.
This publication provides an outlet to further the progress of science in the fields of medical gases and regenerative biology. It allows researchers a way to publish their work and disseminate high-quality, peer-reviewed submissions of the latest scientific knowledge and research findings in a timely manner.
Aim:
Therapeutic Sciences: Emerging Research in Medical Gases & Regenerative Biology aims to provide a comprehensive platform for the dissemination of original research, review articles, clinical case studies, opinion articles and academic book reviews. The publication seeks to bridge the gap between research, and clinical application to foster interdisciplinary collaborations that advance the understanding of these emerging fields.
Scope:
The journal encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including (but not limited to):
Focus:
The journal publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed manuscripts that contribute to the overall understanding of the fundamental biological processes, innovative therapeutic approaches and technological advancements in these fields. The journal accepts submissions of original research studies, review articles, clinical case studies, opinion articles and academic book reviews that aim to provide valuable insights and practical guidance for researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, business-owners and the hyperbaric industry at-large.
Original Research:
Detail original research and should include hypothesis, background study, methods, results, interpretation of findings and a discussion of possible implications. Research study papers should not exceed 15,000 words and include references, tables, figures when necessary and applicable.
Review Article:
Provide a critical and constructive analysis of existing published literature in a field, through summary, analysis, and comparison, often identifying specific gaps or problems and providing recommendations for future research. Review articles submissions should not exceed 10,000 words and include references that are relevant and applicable to the review content.
Clinical Case Study:
Present the details of real patient cases from medical or clinical practice. The cases presented are usually those that contribute significantly to the existing knowledge on the field. The study is expected to discuss the signs, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of a condition or disease. Clinical case study submissions should not exceed 6,000 words.
Opinion Article:
Present the author’s viewpoint on the interpretation, analysis, or methods used in a particular study. This submission allows the author to comment on the strength and weakness of a theory or hypothesis and should be backed by research. Opinion article submissions should be no longer than 3,000 words.
Academic Book Review:
Provide insight and opinion on recently published scholarly books relevant to the field of medical gases and regenerative biology. Academic book review submissions should be no longer than 1,000 words.
Submission of Manuscripts
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through Manuscript Manager
at www.manuscriptmanager.net/tsj
Manuscript Manager will collect all information necessary during the submission process. If you have any questions prior to or during the submission process, please contact the journal via email at contact@therapeuticsciencesjournal.org
Manuscript Proof & Publication Fee Policy
Original manuscripts that accepted for publication are published at no cost to the author. Manuscript proofs are sent to corresponding authors via email in PDF format and corresponding authors are responsible for signing off on proofs for publication. The corresponding author is responsible for consulting with all co-authors regarding revisions. Any changes to proofs must be clearly indicated to the managing editor and be sent back by the designated deadline. A manuscript may be rescheduled for a later publication if the delay warrants such action. All accepted manuscripts are subject to final editing by the journal and its editors to improve readability and conserve space.
The journal accepts continuous submissions of manuscripts throughout the year, allowing researchers to submit their work at any time. However, to be considered for inclusion in our annual January publications, submissions must be received by the ‘Manuscript Submission Deadlines’ specified below. Manuscripts submitted after these deadlines will be considered for the following year’s edition.
